Bond has created a special version of its RF-to-WiFi Bond Bridge Pro device hub for Vertilux. Sold by Vertilux, called the VTi Nexus Bridge. Powered by Bond, the new solution is designed to bring Bond’s smart set-up and control experience to Vertilux’s 2-way RF-controlled Re-Lion window shade motors. The Bridge also allows for integration of the Vertilux shade motors with today’s smart home control platforms.
The VTi Nexus Bridge leverages the Bond Home App to deliver intuitive and consolidated control from users’ smartphone. Bond says that one Bridge can operate as many as 50 motorized shades in a 3,500 square-foot area, and for jobs consisting of more than 50 shades, multiple Bridges can be used.
The App is compatible with popular virtual assistance platforms like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, and the Bridge also integrates with home automation platforms such as Control4, Crestron, josh.ai, and others.
The Bond Home App also delivers state feedback (status of shades operations – open, close) and each shade motor’s battery status.
According to Bond, its engineering team worked closely with Vertilux to co-develop the Bridge for the Re-Lion shade motors, with the Bridge being designed to leverage the bi-directionality of the 2-way RF-controlled motors.
