AVPro Edge has introduced the AC-EX150-BKT, a new HDMI extension kit developed to provide integrators with 150 meters (492 feet) of range when using HDMI connectivity.
The connectivity company states the new kit offers 50 meters of additional reach when compared to conventional solutions, and the AC-EX150-BKT is designed to overcome the challenges encountered by AV integrators seeking to affordably leverage legacy network infrastructure to transmit HDMI signals over long runs. AVPro Edge asserts that with the availability of its latest solution, integrators now have a clear solution for passing HDMI signals through punch-down blocks and cable splices.
“The AC-EX150-BKT is the ultimate solution for AV integrators seeking to overcome infrastructure and distance obstacles that hamper conventional HDMI extension technologies,” explains Sam Metivier, product manager for AVPro Edge.
“This kit delivers a stable HDMI signal over long runs and is easy to use—creating opportunities for integrators to satisfy their clients without the significant cost of replacing legacy category wiring. The AC-EX150-BKT is another engineering triumph from AVPro Edge.”
The kit features a compact transmitter and receiver, along with mounting and wiring accessories and retrofits almost any Category cable-based infrastructure (including most legacy 8-conductor cabling). The signal-transmission solution also meets 4K, HDMI 2.0 specifications using Cat 5e or higher level cabling and can downscale content to 1080p if needed.
Lightapalooza took place in late February, and the growth of the event has mirrored the rapid ascension lighting fixtures and controls.
AVPro Edge boasts that its products utilize state-of-the-art designs and manufacturing, and it emphasizes its products are backed by a 10-year advanced-replacement warranty.
