The mergers & acquisition activity remains busy in the custom integration channel, rolling into 2025 with another notable move as Gilmore’s Sound Advice, a leading integration firm with 34 years in the New York City area has joined the AHT Global companies marking a significant commitment to expanding in the largest U.S. market.
The division will be known as AHT Global-New York and will focus on delivering the highest quality integration systems and technology services that both Gilmore’s Sound Advice and AHT Global are known for.
Financial terms of the merger agreement were not disclosed. Other recent news among the integrator community includes Gramophone and World Wide Stereo merging, and Daisy joining forces with SaaviHome, for instance.
According to the two well-respected companies, here are some mutually beneficial results that AHT Global’s scooping up the Gilmore’s Sound Advice team and brand will bring to the expanding integrator.
In a statement from leadership of both companies, here’s what they commented about the big merger.
Lightapalooza took place in late February, and the growth of the event has mirrored the rapid ascension lighting fixtures and controls.

He notes that AHT Global has been busy extending its reach into affluent Los Angeles, Aspen, Colo., and Hawaii markets.
“This marks our third expansion in the past 24 months and follows the successful integration of our Los Angeles, Aspen and Hawaii locations; New York was the next logical step,” Reinhard remarks.
“We have always had a presence there working for existing clients and now we are going to use our unique combination of exacting standards and client satisfaction to vigorously compete in the marketplace.”
