AudioControl to Launch Bijou Series Amplifiers Next Month

Audio component manufacturer AudioControl has introduced the Bijou Series of integrated eARC amplifiers designed to support large-screen TVs, microLED walls, and other custom installed entertainment systems.

The Seattle, Wash.-based maker of high-end audio systems says the Bijou amplifiers come in a compact design without sacrificing functionality, as the products include integrated eARC connectivity, GaN amplification, and Dante networking. The products are designed for both new installations and system upgrades, providing integrators flexibility.

The new Bijou Series currently comes in three models: the Bijou 2100 2.1-channel amplifier, the Bijou 3100 3.1-channel amplifier, and the Dante-enabled Bijou 5100 5.1-channel amplifier.

According to AudioControl, HDMI eARC connectivity is standard on all three Bijou models, allowing integrators to simplify installations and reduce cable clutter while still providing support for Dolby Atmos and DTS.

The Bijou amplifiers, set to be available next month, feature GaN amplification technology, bringing power and performance to the compact design, the company says.

Bijou Series Touted as Having a More “Flexible” Installation Process

AudioControl says the Bijou Series is made for integrators, with features like UP control for compatibility with Control4 and other control systems, an intuitive web configuration interface, and configurable line outputs for more flexibility.

The company also bills the amplifiers’ ability to fit seamlessly into any environment, delivering high-end audio quality without compromising aesthetics due to the low-profile 1U half-rack form factor and mounting options. The amplifiers can even be installed behind TVs to save even more space and reduce clutter.

The company first introduced the Bijou amplifiers at CEDIA Expo 2024, at which Tom Devine, director of marketing for parent company AVPro Global Holdings, spoke about the products’ efficiency and flexibility for modern AV installations.

Devine highlighted the eARC functionality, which allows users to keep their AV setups simple and leverage the streaming apps already available in smart TVs. By leveraging eARC technology, the Bijou line allows customers to enjoy immersive audio from their smart TVs without the need for complex setups or additional remote controls.

“Now all they need is their TV and maybe a nice sound bar. It’s using eARC, so you can use your native TV remote to turn this volume up and down,” Devine told CE Pro at CEDIA Expo. “Nobody will even know that’s there.”
