After announcing a new partnership with Azione earlier this month, AV Pro Edge is adding the Fresco 8K video wall processor and the MX 4×4 matrix switch to its portfolio of AV distribution products, with both bringing full 8K Ultra HD 48 Gbps bandwidth capability.
The company says the MX 4×4 matrix switch, dubbed the AC-MX-44X, represents a “state-of-the-art benchmark” in 8K, 48 Gbps uncompressed direct-connection HDMI matrix switching. This is designed for both commercial and residential integrators building entertainment platforms.
According to AVPro Edge, the AC-MX-44X, available now, processes Full 8K Ultra UD 48 Gbps uncompressed signals. The product’s development centered on the combined feature requirements of commercial and residential integrators who require a versatile matrix-switching solution that is equally adaptable to applications such as a modern hybrid office space as well as a gaming-intensive premium home cinema.
The company says the Fresco 8K 48 Gbps 2×2 video wall processor is designed to deliver impactful 2×2 8K video wall content using modern source content. The product’s full 8K Ultra HD 48 Gbps bandwidth enables even the largest videowalls to display images in higher resolution and with HDR’s dimensionally deeper sense of immersion at greater distances and ensures product longevity as the 8K format evolves.
Potential applications for the AC-FRESCO-4X, available now, include hospitality, retail, enterprise, education, eSports, and more. 8K HDR content can be easily scaled, cropped, resized, or downscaled using the intuitive built-in web interface, creating a unique experience for viewers.
Lightapalooza took place in late February, and the growth of the event has mirrored the rapid ascension lighting fixtures and controls.
