At CES 2025 HP announced an array of computing, unified communications (UC) and gaming solutions. Focusing on gaming, however, the company states that gamers can now elevate their gameplay through its OMEN and HyperX PCs, and OMEN AI technologies.
While at CES 2025, HP introduced OMEN AI Beta, which HP claims as the first AI-powered game learning application that continually adjusts for optimized performance. According to HP OMEN AI offers a personalized, one-click solution tailored to each game, recommending OS, hardware, and game settings based on each unique rig and game to eliminate time-consuming troubleshooting that gamers used to engage.
As the company describes it, OMEN AI adapts and improves settings over time, automatically dialing the best settings in order to maximize performance.
Rather than being a catch-all solution, it seems as though OMEN AI will be application specific, as the AI will initially only launch with support for Counter-Strike 2. However, HP has noted the application will expand to more popular titles as time goes on.
AI is already being used extensively to improve picture quality in many modern day TVs, with both LG and Samsung using AI image correction to intelligently adjust TV settings under changing environmental conditions. While PC gaming prioritizes different features over traditional TVs, HP sees the lack of AI optimization in the gaming market as a missed opportunity.
As a custom integrator, lighting is in demand. Effective communication, education and showcasing the value proposition of LED light fixtures in conjunction with integrative control systems are the keys to overcoming challenges and closing sales in this specialized market.
