Juke Audio Streamlines Multiroom Audio for Homeowners, Dealers

Maturing through the decades, whole-house audio or multiroom audio is now one of the most desirable home technology amenities available from the smart home industry, and one of the companies helping to drive that desirability is Juke Audio.

Taking these technologies that are state-of-the-art and simplifying them to support their use by a wide array of homeowners, the new audio manufacturer Juke Audio is providing professional integrators with a reasonably priced selection of components and an ease-of-use that sets the market standard.

The company’s current product line offers a choice of the Juke 6, Juke 8, and the new Juke+ whole-house audio components. The Juke 6 and Juke 8 support six zones or eight zones of audio respectively with power ratings of 40-watts-per-channel. Juke Audio’s newly announced Juke+ provides six zones of audio with 100-watts-per-channel, and additional features such as equalization (EQ) options for each zone, and analog and digital connection options.

A key distinction of all of the Juke amplifier products is that users can stream directly from their own apps that they already love and know how to use well.  Juke is able to support this through a unique offering of multi-source functionality for both Apple Airplay 2 and Spotify Connect, meaning that every single zone appears as its own available speaker (see picture below)  that can be streamed over a Wi-Fi network.  This creates a seamless listening experience that the customers and AV dealers that represent them can attest to.

What Dealers are Saying About Juke Audio

One of the biggest benefits that a Juke Audio whole-house audio system provides homeowners is that it allows users to employ their already familiar streaming services to play their music effortlessly.

Frankwin Hooglander, owner of Treasure Valley Solutions, has decades of market experience. Using that experience to evaluate the Juke Audio product line, Hooglander says the Juke Audio product line’s ease-of-installation and ease-of-use were deciding factors that convinced him to utilize the products.

“My background has taught me to stay away from the high-end control systems that all have multizone proprietary audio products that are typically very expensive, as well as complex to setup/use,” he states. “The choice for the Juke Audio products was primarily based on ease of setup/usage, as well as price and capabilities on our end. The setup of the product is super easy, and the specs of the Juke 6/8 are typically more than enough for the average home/small business to get music into those areas they want them.”

Hooglander notes that as an integrator in Idaho, the Juke line of whole-house audio products provides homeowners a choice of affordable solutions (roughly $250 per zone retail) that can cover all key pieces of a home including bedrooms, outdoor areas, and living spaces. Once homeowners are introduced to the product line’s ease-of-use he continues, his clients are always surprised by how quickly they are able to begin enjoying their music across their homes.

“Simplicity and user friendliness in combination with the price is a major factor to our success with Juke so far,” admits Hooglander.  “We’ve installed more Juke systems in the past six months or so than we have in the previous 18 months—mostly due to affordability.”

The long-time integrator adds, the additional benefit of carrying the Juke Audio product line is that Treasure Valley Solutions’ team of technicians have quickly adapted to how easily the products integrate into a wealth of home environments. It’s as simple as running wiring and from there, there is an intuitive onboarding in the Juke app to get everything configured quickly and reliably.

“They love the installation as it’s significantly easier to install not only the Juke Amplifiers, but also the Juke Sky Speakers. Both are less labor intensive than other systems and significantly easier to configure for the customer,” adds Hooglander. “We’re able to offer multizone audio at a much better price than any of our competitors with Juke, which has helped quite a bit with our sales of these systems.”

Whole-House Audio Systems Complement Other Smart Home Amenities

With locations throughout Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and Tennessee, Phoenix Systems serves a wide range of homeowners. With such a diverse client base, the Southeastern-based company has chosen to use Juke Audio for several reasons, including its ease-of-use and ability to easily integrate into a variety of home environments.

“Juke Audio presents Phoenix, and all integrators, a wonderful opportunity to enable builders and prospective homeowners to easily and seamlessly engage directly with technology in model homes and design centers.  Juke provides a ‘personal’ ambiance to this experience,” comments Scott Cernigilia, general manager, Phoenix Systems.

Cernigilia says that as a company that performs a high number of security system installations Phoenix Systems requires audio solutions that can be sold in combination to generate additional revenue and provide a cohesive experience to their customers that works flawlessly and represents a great value. The ability he continues, for users to be able to wirelessly control both their audio and security products from their phone/tablet without complexity has driven much customer satisfaction and repeat business as a result.

Looking at the smart home system market from the builder perspective, he stresses that it is important for modern new homes to include systems that are not intimidating to use. “Anytime our builders can enable prospective homeowners to engage with technology on display in the home, we all win,” he points out.  “Enabling customers to play their own music brings them one step closer to placing themselves in their new home experience.”

Taking the point of ease of use a step further, Cernigilia adds that regardless of whether it is a prospective homeowner, an existing homeowner, or a homebuilder, they all want a product that just works day in and day out without complexion. The homeowner doesn’t want to have to frequently call looking for assistance and the builder or installer doesn’t want to have to field continuous service calls, and unfortunately that is the reality of a lot of systems on the market today. Juke’s simple approach to whole-home audio addresses that issue.

“Making home audio easy to use enables homeowners to make music more of a habit in their daily lives.  Quickly, it becomes noticeable when the music is absent,” says Cernigilia. “Meeting those objectives, Juke helps us help our builder partners make their homes more engaging and attractive to prospective homeowners.  Anytime we can make technology like Juke easy for customers to use and understand, we all win.  This simplifies the sales process for us all.  As an integrator, we get excited to introduce Juke Audio to our builders, homeowners, and even commercial opportunities.”
