Meze Audio, a Romanian manufacturer of audiophile headphones, has released POET, its newest planar-magnetic headphones. According to Meze, the new POET headphones combine Rinaro Isodynamic Hybrid Array technologies, along with high-end materials, and an ergonomic design to provide users a compact, open-back, high-performance personal audio solution.
“From the very beginning of our POET journey, we knew we wanted to create something unique — a more compact planar-magnetic open-back headphone that is every bit as capable as our flagship models. Well then, what better place to look than at the very apex? In collaboration with our friends at RINARO ISODYNAMICS, we synthesized the essence of ELITE’s driver technology and gave it new life,” says Alex Grigoras, acoustic engineer at Meze Audio. I believe POET turned out to be more than just a headphone; it’s a nod to a huge stepping stone in our development as a team and a testament to how far we’ve come.”
In describing the new POET headphones, Meze touts the audio quality as lush with airy vocals and precise bass impact that balances low-end depth with delicate high-frequency clarity. The company goes on to state the headphones’ natural tonality is enhanced by subtle hints of sparkle, providing a lively yet effortless listening experience.
The headphones feature a compact, open-back design thathouses MZ6 Isodynamic Hybrid Array drivers, which Meze Audio explains is a state-of-the-art planar-magnetic technology developed exclusively for Meze Audio by Rinaro Isodynamics. They also incorporate an intricate steel grill, magnesium chassis, and soft suede leather headrest the company says are not only visually striking but also contribute to POET’s durability and unparalleled acoustic performance.
Rinaro Isodynamics has over three decades of expertise developing planar-magnetic technologies, with Meze Audio pointing out the MZ6 driver is born from years of research and development (R&D). Each driver is also hand-assembled and tested at Rinaro’s state-of-the-art facility in Ukraine.
As a custom integrator, lighting is in demand. Effective communication, education and showcasing the value proposition of LED light fixtures in conjunction with integrative control systems are the keys to overcoming challenges and closing sales in this specialized market.

The POET also comes with flexible titanium alloy headband that is meant to evenly distribute weight, ensuring a snug fit that enhances listening pleasure for hours on end. The lightweight design and magnetic ear pads also make POET incredibly user-friendly, offering seamless pad swapping for long-term care and convenience.
In addition to the POET headphones’ planar-magnetic technologies, the new personal audio solution incorporates several features that Meze Audio says sets the product apart in the world of audiophile headphones.
Some of these features include a Hybrid Magnet Array designed to create a uniform, powerful magnetic field across the diaphragm, as well as a Parus diaphragm that offers a low weight (just 0.06 grams/0.002 ounces) and expansive active area for high levels of audio reproduction. The result Meze Audio concludes is ultra-low distortion (<0.05%) and ultra-high-resolution audio that captures every nuance, from the deepest sub-bass to the highest treble frequencies.
