Mud-In Tape Lights Create Sleek ‘Herringbone Haven’ Out of a Dusty Bath

This full bathroom remodel transformed an outdated space into a sleek, contemporary shower and wet room. A striking herringbone tile design was used as an accent on the floor and a feature wall, providing a bold focal point that elevates the space’s overall aesthetic, and earned the project its name of “Herringbone Haven” by integrator Gramophone. Complementing this, an underlit floating vanity adds a modern touch, enhancing the room’s ambiance.

Gramophone’s design incorporates on-trend brushed bronze fixtures and fittings, which pair perfectly with the masculine-inspired theme of the bathroom. The warm tones of the fixtures contrast with the clean lines of the space, creating a harmonious balance between style and functionality.

To enhance the contemporary feel, a mud-in ceiling tape light was installed, allowing the creation of different lighting scenes through a control system. These adjustable lighting settings help set the mood and bring a spa-like atmosphere to the space while accenting the herringbone design throughout.

Budget constraints posed an initial challenge, but with thoughtful planning, the desired look was achieved using more cost-effective materials without sacrificing style. A curbless shower design was also implemented, further emphasizing the clean and open feel of the room.

Ultimately, this bathroom remodel achieved a sophisticated look that balances luxury and practicality, offering a modern retreat for the homeowner. The blend of bold design choices and smart lighting solutions results in a stunning space that brings contemporary comfort to daily routines.
