If you’ve been to events like CEDIA Expo and Lightapalooza recently, you’ve seen how power/energy management is proliferating in the industry. Apex Technologies is right on top of the trend, announcing its latest innovation, which it previewed at this year’s Lightapalooza: The Apex Power Hub.
The specialty distributor enthuses that this compact, network-connected power management solution provides integrators with valuable real-time insight into and control over the power infrastructures of customers’ homes via an intuitive web-based interface.
“Disturbance-free, regulated power is the backbone of high-performance technology installations, and we’re redefining how integrators manage it with the introduction of this game-changing monitoring tool,” says Vince Luciani, power products specialist at Apex Technologies-US.
“The Power Hub eliminates guesswork by delivering actionable data, intelligent automation, and seamless integration into existing control systems.”
The Apex Power Hub is said to generate real-time power quality data and enable seamless control and automation of rack-mounted UPS devices from Innovolt and large-format UPS solutions from 360 Power Quality, as well as the expanding line of IP-addressable Expert Power Control PDUs from Gude Systems.
Lightapalooza took place in late February, and the growth of the event has mirrored the rapid ascension lighting fixtures and controls.
By monitoring and controlling these essential power management devices, integrators can proactively respond to power-quality issues, mitigating irreparable damage to sensitive home technology systems, the company asserts.
