AV distribution and electronic accessory products provider Vanco International recently bolstered its solutions portfolio by introducing the PAEXWIR wireless audio extender.
This transmits stereo audio and subwoofer signals up to 164 feet (50m) with line of sight, or 50 feet (15m) through walls, ceilings and floors, Vanco explains.
PAEXWIR offers uncompressed, lossless audio transmission, using adaptive frequency hopping and selectable 5.2 GHz or 5.8 GHz frequency ranges to avoid interference from other wireless devices, the company says.
The ability to route high-quality 24-bit, 48KHz sampling rate and 20Hz to 20KHz frequency response range, PAEXWIR delivers detailed sonics across the entire range of human hearing, Vanco asserts.
PAEXWIR is said to provide a reliable, low-cost solution for wireless transmissions and aesthetics considerations. The extender achieves maximum range with line of sight and can pass through the same materials as Wi-Fi over up to 50 feet, according to the company.
Lightapalooza took place in late February, and the growth of the event has mirrored the rapid ascension lighting fixtures and controls.
The versatility makes PAEXWIR an ideal analog audio transmission solution for challenging spaces, simplifying 2.1 channel audio integration for retrofits, rentals, and any other context where running cables is impossible or inconvenient, Vanco emphasizes.
“Integrators need the capacity to deliver rich stereo audio under any circumstances,” says Brandon White, director of New Product Development for Vanco.
“With PAEXWIR, you can make your stereo speakers the sculptural centerpiece of an open-plan living room, discretely position active subwoofers in a listening space, or connect speakers in an architecturally significant space without exposing unsightly wires.”
PAEXWIR begins shipping in September 2024. Like all Vanco products, the extender is 100% QC-tested in Vanco’s Batavia, Ill., headquarters and backed by Vanco’s award-winning customer service and warranty programs.
Previously this year the company introduced the USB-C Extender, Vanco Evolution EVMX42MV 4K 4×2 Matrix, and most recently the PulseAudio PAEXEARC HDMI eARC transmitter.
