Smart home control and automation manufacturer Nice is launching its new Nice Video Doorbell offering integrators and homeowners an easy-to-install and use video doorbell that integrates with the Nice Home Management platform.
The doorbell, now available for preorder, is designed with both functionality and aesthetics in mind. Features like Auto Discover/Auto Configure ensure quick installation for the integrator, and complete integration with the award-winning Nice Home Management platform provides the homeowner with reliable surveillance access across multiple devices, the company says.
Users can monitor their front door with Nice intelligent touch panels, HR40 remotes, or mobile devices. Users can also interact with visitors, and control playback from anywhere.
The installation process is easy and is compatible with existing systems. Advanced security options and full remote access give homeowners peace of mind. The doorbell is designed as a step above many DIY or entry-level video doorbells that don’t fully integrate with smart home systems.
“Video doorbells are now an essential for families to see who is at the front door, but many doorbells still act as standalone devices that don’t fully integrate with a smart home to enhance security,” says Senthoor Navaratnam, chief product officer for Nice North America. “The Nice Video Doorbell changes that by seamlessly combining security and automation like never before.”
Lightapalooza took place in late February, and the growth of the event has mirrored the rapid ascension lighting fixtures and controls.
“The doorbell can trigger customized whole-home actions based on motion detection or when the doorbell is pressed, making it a true smart home device that enhances the lifestyle experience and security that families want,” says Jeff Shaw, Head of Product Management for the Nice Home Management business unit.
The Nice Video Doorbell is available in a variety of configurations that easily install in new projects or retrofits. It has a distinguished black style with a brushed aluminum finish on the lower faceplate and button, with a wide angle, high-definition camera for maximum coverage and clear image capture.
The company says the video doorbell includes a customizable light ring, angled mounting adaptors, and customizable input and outputs for expanded integration capabilities. It also integrates with the Nice NVR, allowing homeowners to monitor and play back footage from anywhere.
Integrators can select from two models based on project needs: a PoE / Wi-Fi version and a 2-wire model available for retrofit applications. Both incorporate IP65-rated weather protection so the video doorbell can withstand the elements.
