Panasonic’s 2025 TV Lineup Includes its First U.S. Exclusive Following Market Re-Entry

It’s been a year since Panasonic re-entered the U.S. market with its latest lineup of OLED and Mini-LED TVs, and now, now, in addition to revealing a new IAQ solution, the company is ready to announce the second generation of TVs coming to American households in 2025. Making up the list is a new OLED and Mini-LED as well as a U.S.-exclusive LCD.

First, Let’s Talk About the Panasonic Z95B OLED TV Features

Serving as the flagship model for its 2025 TV releases, Panasonic has updated the display system for the Z95B (making it essentially a direct upgrade to the Z95A released last year), mirroring LG’s own moves by transitioning from a more conventional micro-lens array (MLA) panel to a proprietary system–in Panasonic’s case: the “Primary RBG Tandem Panel.”

The company has also kitted out the system with a new cooling system, which it boasts as being inspired by the aerodynamics of F1 racing cars.

This, according to the company, should result in higher brightness, better detail, and greater color volume. The exact metrics of this—such as nits of brightness, etc.—have not been disclosed.

Next, the Panasonic W95B Mini-LED TV

Like the Z95B, the W95B, according to Panasonic, is a direct upgrade to the W95A, with the TV featuring “enhanced contrast, expanded dynamic range, and vibrant, lifelike colours,” and enhancements to Dynamic HDR

The new Mini-LED also comes with 2.5 times more backlighting zones compared to its predecessor, as well as more granular control over each LED for greater picture quality. That backlighting improvement is also supposed to feed into better color stability, with the system using a “high-colour-gamut phosphor-based backlight.”

Then There’s That U.S.-Exclusive W70B

Included in the lineup is the W70B, a U.S.-exclusive, budget-oriented LCD model. The device is able to support 4K HDR formats, including HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG, as well as MEMC for sports viewing. There are also four HDMI ports for connectivity, though what types of HDMI ports they are has not yet been ascertained.

Like With All the Latest TVs, There’s the AI to Mention

Like with all the latest TVs and gaming hardware being announced at CES 2025, both Panasonic’s Z95B and W95B come equipped with AI image processing as a means to further enhance their respective picture qualities. Both have the same onboard HCX Pro Processor MK II that helps to power much of these features.

Most notable is the brand’s 4K Remaster Engine, which Panasonic claims allows for improved picture quality over streaming by combining AI and mathematical models for “crisp, natural images, and superior streaming noise reduction.”

The processor also supports Dolby Vision IQ with Precision Detail, which, like Filmmaker Mode on other TVs allows the TVs to optimize picture settings in relation to the brightness of your viewing environment.

Dolby Vision Gaming is also supported up to 144Hz on PC, while console gamers can access 4K/120Hz gaming with VRR and ALLM on the two HDMI 2.1 sockets.

The W70B is not expected to come with this AI processing enabled.

All three of the new TVs run Amazon’s Fire TV operating system following on from the partnership established between Panasonic and Amazon last year. That partnership is expanding with the Prime Video Calibrated Mode picture feature coming to both models when they launch later this year.

On release, the Z95B OLED will be available in 55-, 65- and 77-inch screen sizes. The W95B Mini-LED will be available in 55-, 65-, 75- and 85-inch screen sizes. And the W70B LCD will come in 43-, 50-, 55-, 65-, 70-, 75- and 85-inch sizes. Pricing and availability is yet to be determined.
