Steinway Lyngdorf has appointed Peter Keller-Larsen as chief commercial officer (CCO) following a year of major expansions by the company.
Keller-Larsen arrives with more than two decades of global leadership experience. In his new role he will be responsible for global sales and marketing, helping guide Steinway Lyngdorf’s commercial strategy as it deepens dealer support and expands technology offerings.
“Peter’s leadership arrives at a time of significant forward momentum,” said CEO and CTO Thomas Birkelund. “His deep understanding of brand, market and experience will help us scale our presence while remaining uncompromising in quality and design.”
“Steinway Lyngdorf is unlike any other audio company,” said Keller-Larsen. “It is a privilege to join what legend and visionary Peter Lyngdorf started and become part of a team where performance and design are held to the highest standards — and where innovation is always in service of the experience.”
While Steinway Lyngdorf is more commonly known for its audiophile offerings in the U.S., the company has engaged in a massive round of expansion over the past year. Recent developments the company has made include:
Taken together, the moves push Steinway Lyngdorf towards being able to support networked audio infrastructure that can complement its high-end sound systems.
That should be big news for plenty of integrators, as while Steinway Lyngdorf’s presence on the annual CE Pro 100 Brand Analysis historically hasn’t matched brands with broader market appeal, its inclusion reveals a footprint among integrators that confirms its widespread presence in the industry at large.
Beyond that, however, these moves help to push the company into newer verticals, such as marine and hospitality projects, which, while rare environments for CE Pro’s audience to work in, open new avenues of possibility as the industry continues to grow and evolve.
