Pro-Ject T1 EVO Offers Modern Vinyl Playback Capabilities

Offering music lovers a choice of reasonably priced, modern turntable solutions, Pro-Ject has just introduced its T1 EVO turntable.

The turntable aims to deliver true high-fidelity sonics for vinyl enthusiasts on a limited budget. Pro-Ject boasts that its latest turntable utilizes premium materials and stylish aesthetics and high levels of sound quality.

Pro-Ject points out the T1 EVO incorporates a stylish CNC-machined plinth (available in gloss black, satin white or satin walnut laminates) that uses no plastic, and this plinth is carefully manufactured akin to the XA B Turntable to eliminate resonant hollow spaces that would otherwise detract from sound quality.

The glass platter is heavy and non-resonant, again avoiding the flaws of plastic and cheap steel alternatives. Additionally, the purpose-selected turntable feet are effective in isolating the T1 EVO from ambient vibrations in the vicinity of homeowners audio systems.

T1 EVO Turntable Balances Audiophile and Lifestyle Demands

Taking a closer look at the technologies Pro-Ject employs with its new turntable, the company explains the T1 EVO’s motor drives a belt attached to a larger sub-platter which rotates in a bearing assembly machined to tolerances within 0.001mm. This bearing assembly is comprised of a stainless steel spindle in brass bushing and through these design elements, the motor system ensures stable and accurate platter speeds with non-resonant behavior, allowing the tonearm and attached cartridge to perform the way they were designed to operate.

The Future of Digital Lighting & Control

As a custom integrator, lighting is in demand. Effective communication, education and showcasing the value proposition of LED light fixtures in conjunction with integrative control systems are the keys to overcoming challenges and closing sales in this specialized market.

The T1 EVO turntable includes an 8.6-inch one-piece aluminum design tonearm, meaning the headshell and armtube are integrated for the sake of rigidity and resonance control. Pro-Ject says the tonearm’s use of high-quality bearings allow for silent and frictionless motion of the tonearm.

Supplied with an Ortofon OM 10 moving magnet cartridge featuring an elliptical diamond stylus tip, and the company stresses the inclusion of the Ortofon phono cartridge makes the T1 EVO a true Hi-Fi playback system. Pro-Ject also notes the cartridge is aligned, the tracking force is set at the factory and anti-skating is built-in to spare dealers from the trickiest parts of turntable setup.

Pro-Ject adds the T1 EVO incorporates shielded, semi-symmetrical and low-capacitance phono cables. The output cables are purpose-designed by Pro-Ject to carry the phono signal—and, the European-based company emphasizes, are not the typical off-the shelf RCA cables usually found in the price range this turntable resides. The T1 EVO also comes with a dust cover, felt mat, and 45 RPM adapter.

The T1 EVO MSRP is $449, the T1 EVO Phono model carries an MSRP of $499, and the BT (Bluetooth) version carries an MSRP of $599.

Earlier this year, Pro-Ject released the next evolution of the EVO series, the Debut EVO 2 to an MSRP of $699.
