QR SE Speakers from Audiovector Feature Upgraded Components for Higher Performance

Announced earlier this year, Audiovector’s QR SE (Special Edition) loudspeakers are now available worldwide.

The Danish company states that building on the foundations of its QR range, the new speakers are said to deliver an even more open, dynamic, and detailed sound.

“The new QR SE series represents a great step forward in loudspeaker design,” comments Mads Klifoth, CEO, Audiovector. “Very often, an upgraded range delivers only minimal improvements in technology, styling, and performance. This is certainly not the case here – the focus during development was improved performance; the new speakers deliver a hugely improved sound and at prefect price points.”

QR SE Series Speakers Incorporate State-of-the-Art Engineering Designs

Audiovector explains that its newly available product line utilizes key upgrades such as new in-house designed capacitors which are said to result in a cleaner treble and improved detailing, as well as improved heat dissipation via metal housed resistors the company says deliver even more stable high-power precision, and cryogenically treated internal wiring that is said to improve dynamics and detailing.

The QR SE speakers also utilize strategically positioned Nano Pore dampening material to enhance midrange openness, along with bass reflex optimization to increase precision, and stainless steel high-end spikes with knurled nuts for easier micro adjustment during the setup process.

Elaborating on some of the upgrades the QR SE line of products employ, Audiovector says the new double cryogenic polypropylene tin flash copper capacitors are the result of constant listening, measuring, and improvement. They provide the AMT tweeters with the best possible conditions for a sweeter, more detailed, and more open sound. The use of cryogenically treated pure copper wiring and Audiovector Nanopore damping material creates a smooth and natural musical reproduction the company stresses.

Going deeper into the technologies, Audiovector suggests the pure piston dual magnet bass drive units work like a piston over several octaves of the frequency band without the distortion normally found in aluminum/diamond drive units. This means music sounds warm, precise, and detailed, yet dynamic and musical.

Externally, the QR SE series speakers’ Gold Leaf Air Motion Tweeter fascia plate is tooled from a single piece of aerospace grade aluminum. the fascia plate has been precision machined, glass blasted, brushed, and then anodized in a tungsten titanium grey. Additionally, the plate features a rose gold-plated dispersion mesh, which works as an S-Stop filter.

Audiovector adds the new SE models all feature subtle, but elegant recognizable golden brass badges on the front panels and cloth grilles. The European manufacturer emphasizes that it only uses carefully selected real wood veneers, and the product line is offered in a choice of white silk, dark walnut and black piano standard finishes.
