frayednot delivered a budget-friendly yet impressive solution for a client downsizing to a smaller home in Summit, New Jersey. The client, a long-time customer, sought a reliable and simple system while staying within a tight budget. Despite unexpected challenges during the renovation, including extensive rewiring due to damage, frayednot successfully managed the project by maintaining flexible scheduling and frequent check-ins.
The project involved retrofitting the New Jersey home with full Wi-Fi coverage, rewiring for three TV locations, and salvaging some equipment from the client’s previous residence. The client faced significant budget overruns from the renovation, but frayednot worked closely with them, aiming to keep AV costs near the $15,000 mark. The final system included seven Wi-Fi points, two Samsung Frame TVs with custom bezels, two Sonos Five speakers, and a small distribution area in the basement.
Although the project ultimately cost $17,500, frayednot prioritized the client relationship over profitability, reusing what equipment they could and accommodating last-minute requests without extra charges. The result was a well-integrated system with clean Wi-Fi coverage, multiple TV locations, and audio zones, all achieved over seven months of flexible, meticulous work. The client was delighted with the end result, underscoring the value of a trusted long-term relationship.
“This was designed with simplicity in mind for anyone to be able to use without compromising any quality or functionality,” says founder Constantinos Sandoukas. “We focus on what is important – keeping the tech hidden and out of sight while providing an amazing, simple to use, frayednot experience!”
