Savant is giving its lighting arm some love while at CEDIA Expo 2024, releasing an all new lineup of professional lighting and shading products under the GE-brand named Proseo.
Named for high-end performance and the ‘trophy professionals’ who sweat the details and are proud to show off their work, Proseo products are meant to have easy setup while leveraging modern architectural aesthetics to hit that sweet spot of design and performance clients and pros are looking for during installs.
“High quality GE products have been trusted in homes for more than a century and now they are combining with Savant’s award-winning software to bring the ultimate smart lighting and shading experience into today’s living spaces,” said Bob Madonna, CEO of Savant.
“We’re excited to give dealers the opportunity to bring these innovative products and dynamic reliable user experiences to their current and new clients.”
Featuring a series of keypads and dimmers the Proseo lighting line, as stated by Savant, are meant to offer a “beautiful and energy efficient” alternative to traditional lighting setups.
Lightapalooza took place in late February, and the growth of the event has mirrored the rapid ascension lighting fixtures and controls.
The new line will run on Savant’s Sage Wi-Fi and Sage Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), as well as Sage Low Frequency (LF) networks. Sage LF can be deployed before Wi-Fi for standalone system operation or as part of a Savant whole home solution and features sub 1GHz communications, connectivity at distances that exceed 1km and the best possible reliability and signal penetration.
The keypads and dimmers can also be connected with the Savant app, allowing users to control their lighting remotely. The Proseo portfolio can be controlled by Savant’s app as a standalone option or as part of a larger Savant whole home solution.
Professionals can also integrate GE-branded Cync lighting and other smart home products into the Savant ecosystem via the Sage communication network for an expanded solution.
Not much is being said about Proseo shades right now, or how these offerings will stand out compared to Savant’s existing shading solutions from J Geiger but from what Savant has revealed, the new Proseo shading solutions are going to offer a streamlined solution that can fit into a variety of window types.
Shades can be shipped assembled and ready to install, or provided in custom, bespoke configurations, all with the same minimalist look, and, of course, they can be controlled through either the Savant app or Proseo-branded interfaces, allowing them to be used in conjunction with Proseo lighting systems to create a fully-rounded lighting and shading system out of the Proseo portfolio.
We’ll be reaching out to Savant for more information about the products, but in the meantime, the company instructs dealers to contact their local technical sales manager for more information on Proseo.
