Shade Innovations (SI), a popular brand of motorized window coverings and outdoor shading solutions—serving both commercial and residential markets and backed by parent company Screen Innovations—has announced the launch of its new 1000-Watt (1K) Power over Ethernet (PoE) Switch.
The Texas-based company boasts that its new PoE switch delivers power capacity at just 25% of the cost of comparable products to offer dealers and their clients a high level of value.
“High-power PoE used to come with a high price tag and no ESD protection,” says Ryan Gustafson, founder and president of Shade Innovations. “We changed that. With a built-in quiet power supply, this switch is a robust powerhouse that can power dozens of devices with room to spare—and you’ll still spend less than you would on a low-wattage competitor.”
Shade Innovations states that its new PoE switch is engineered for demanding environments that include smart buildings, AV automation platforms, surveillance systems, and large-scale commercial installations. Elaborating on the capabilities of its latest product, the company says the 1K PoE switch delivers high-performance power, integrated efficiency, and value. Unlike most PoE switches that rely on bulky external power supplies, Shade Innovations continues, the 1K PoE switch features a silent, cool-running onboard power system that is streamlined and built for performance.
The company notes that PoE-connected shades using this switch integrate seamlessly with automation platforms from companies such as Crestron, Control4, Savant, and others, enabling centralized IP-based control, automation, and remote access.
The 1K switch will be available in mid-September 2025 through authorized Shade Innovations and Screen Innovations dealers. CEDIA Expo/CIX show attendees can see the new product in Denver on Sept. 4-6 at Shade Innovations booth #2533.
