Snap One is capitalizing on its merger with ADI by adding Qolsys and DSC security products to its security portfolio, an option made possible as a direct result of the merger. The move means to strengthen Snap One’s residential and commercial security offerings while giving integrators more choice in top-quality intrusion and alarm systems.
The addition allows Snap One customers to access panels and sensors from Qolsys, a provider of security solutions for both residential and commercial markets. DSC, meanwhile, provides security sensors, including the PowerG wireless technology that pairs with the company’s lineup of panels.
Snap One bills these additions as providing robust integration capabilities and a future-proof security solution for any project. The move comes after security-focused ADI parent company Resideo acquired Snap One, completing the acquisition in June. The companies are continuing to integrate their businesses.
According to Snap One, the entire line of Qolsys Panels integrates with the Control4 platform, allowing these products to operate as part of a unified smart home system. Meanwhile, Qolsys Panels and select DSC sensors utilize Alarm.com’s backend platform for alarm transport, remote monitoring and control capabilities, makes integration and installation easier for integrators who are interested in adding these new brands to their projects.
The company says Qolsys supports the Z-Wave protocol, giving integrators the freedom to integrate a wide range of third-party Z-Wave devices into their security and control solutions, such as door locks, garage door openers, thermostats, and light switches.
Snap One also highlights DSC’s industrial-grade 900 MhZ PowerG system, which allows customers to tap into the commercial sector, offering enterprise-grade security solutions for small businesses, large warehouses, offices and distribution centers.
Clint Choate, Snap One’s security market director, says in a statement the addition of Qolsys and PowerG boosts the company’s security capabilities.
“These additions enhance our customers’ buying power, complement our existing offerings, and leverage integration with existing systems including Control4,” Choate says. “Plus, with training and support, our customers can get up to speed quickly to deliver high-quality security solutions tailored to the ever-evolving needs of their end customers.”
