What’s been the state of the industry for your company in 2024? Have you increased your revenues? Gotten into a new tech category? Increased efficiencies? Or taken other steps to make it a profitable year?
Every January, CE Pro releases our annual State of the Industry report, based on survey responses provided by our community of custom integrator readers.
To crunch as many numbers as we’d like into this exclusive research, we’re calling on integrators to help by filling out the survey (hey, you might even win an Amazon gift card) – much appreciation in advance! Make sure your company is included our data – please find the State of the Industry survey here.
Based on last year’s survey takers, dealers anticipated a median revenue increase of just over 9% in 2024 … did your integration firm fall above, even, or below this figure?
Between CEDIA’s Market Research Analysis Survey and CE Pro’s State of the Industry report, we estimated the median integrator pulled in roughly between $900K-$1.1M in 2023. From anecdotal conversations and looking at your own outlook, is 2024 tracking above, flat, or below this range?
Lightapalooza took place in late February, and the growth of the event has mirrored the rapid ascension lighting fixtures and controls.
Respondents last year reported a $20,357 median residential project price in 2023 and $19,167 median commercial installation price in 2023. Did this trend hold true, maintain status quo, or increase in 2024?
In CEDIA’s biannual market report, approximately 62% of integrators said they offer service contracts – it was the leader in our State of the Industry Survey when it came to RMR sources (22%). Are more dealers growing savvy in this department and others where they might generate recurring revenue?
What about the impact of certain categories heading into 2025? Remote management and power/energy management systems have proliferated in recent years to enable dealers to stay more connected to their customers, for instance. Will we see those numbers rise?
Please help CE Pro compile the most data points as we can, so we are able to present the custom integration channel in a representative way that accurately reflects the industry. Take our State of the Industry Survey here.
