For over a decade Ring has enabled homeowners to know what is happening at their home or business through video. Since introducing its video doorbell, the company states that it has continuously improved user experience, and consumer interest in video doorbells has only increased. Adding to its legacy of home security, the popular manufacturer has introduced its new Outdoor Cam Plus.
Ring says its new 2K camera delivers brilliant image quality with 2K video resolution, a wide field of view, and it provides its Low-Light Sight technology. Ring explains its Low-Light Sight technology uses advanced image processing techniques to show a clear, colorful view even in near dark conditions. Whether it’s a dimly lit front yard or business park, the smart home security company says its new Outdoor Cam Plus is meant to capture any moment with clarity and sharpness through the illumination of only a street light or other ambient light.
The video quality of Outdoor Cam Plus is powered by Ring Vision, which delivers high-quality video by combining software, hardware, and Ring’s internal expertise the company suggests. Ring Vision the company goes on to emphasize, begins with a high-quality lens that is matched with premium imaging sensors for crisp video definition. When Ring Vision is combined with the company’s Dynamic Image processing and high-efficiency compression, the video will produce accurate colors and clarity whether homeowners are watching in Live View or a video recording from the night before.
In addition to core features that include motion detection with real-time alerts, Live View and Two-Way Talk, the popular manufacturer stresses that customers get more with a Ring Home subscription. With Ring Home Basic, customers can receive people, delivery packages, and vehicles alerts, along with access to as many as up 180 days of event video history.
With Ring Home Premium, customers get greater insight into what’s happening around their home or business with features like 24/7 Recording (available for Outdoor Cam Plus plug-in) and Smart Video Search, which is an AI-powered feature that helps customers quickly find key moments in their Ring video history. Customers can also connect Outdoor Cam Plus to compatible Alexa-enabled devices to stream Live View, engage in Two-Way Talk, and more.
As a custom integrator, lighting is in demand. Effective communication, education and showcasing the value proposition of LED light fixtures in conjunction with integrative control systems are the keys to overcoming challenges and closing sales in this specialized market.

Ring also emphasizes its new Outdoor Cam Plus is designed for indoor or outdoor use, and the new camera solution features a weather-resistant build, along with an easy-to-install mount that works on ceilings—and the camera offers multiple power options that include battery, plug-in AC power or solar.
The new $99.99 Ring Outdoor Cam Plus will be available for preorder now, and it will ship on march 26.
