The Terrace Joins Samsung’s Lineup of AI TVs as the Industry Starts to See 8K Upscaling

Samsung returns to CEDIA Expo 2024 and with it comes a revamped lineup of its AI-powered TVs that include many OLED, QLED, and Neo QLED models, as well as the ever-popular Frame and Terrace TVs. In fact, Samsung has announced that it has officially incorporated the company’s AI-upscaling into the latest lineup of the Terrace, marking the line’s entry into what the brand is calling its “AI TVs.”

“There are approximately 20,000 integrators currently serving the US market, each with their own distinct needs and requirements to meet client expectations. Only Samsung offers the largest portfolio of connected screens that can make every project seamlessly come to life,” said James Fishler, Senior Vice President, Home Entertainment & Display Division at Samsung Electronics America.

“From home theaters to outdoor patios and everywhere in between, we’re always here to help our custom install partners upscale their build with our lineup of home entertainment solutions.”

The Frame art TV returns to CEDIA Expo with new enhancements that provide an even more complete design experience. This includes an expanded Art Store, offering access to thousands of artworks in partnership with world-renowned museums and galleries. Samsung also introduced Art Store – Streams, a complimentary, rotating display of artworks sampled from the Art Store, regularly updated with thematic and seasonal artworks.

Samsung will also be highlighting its spiritual companion to The Frame, The Music Frame (debuting earlier this year at CES). Coming equipped with a Dolby Atmos speaker with the look and feel of a picture frame, users are able to swap out physical artworks (a change-up from The Frame TV’s digital image library) while being able to stream music to it via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

The Music Frame can even sync with a TV’s audio or soundbar.

Samsung’s 8K Neo QLED Might be the Slimmest TV on the Market

Boasting a unique Infinity Air Design, the Neo QLED 8K (QN900D) may just be the slimmest 8K TV on the market, with the included stand creating a unique mirror effect that makes it look like it’s floating.

It’s also powered by the new NQ8 AI Gen3 processor, which can upscale any content into stunning 8K-like quality, an achievement worth checking out considering all the attention 8K has been receiving recently. The TV also uses AI Motion Enhancer Pro to track and smooth the motion of fast-moving objects – like a tennis ball or hockey puck – with pinpoint precision, reducing motion blur so you see every detail more clearly.

Additionally, Samsung has the pro-install exclusive Neo QLED 4K (QN95D), as well as the Neo QLED 4K (QN90D) lineup, it will be highlighting at the show, which offers sizes from the 43” class to the 98” class all of which are capable of providing upscaled 4K content thanks to its onboard AI processor.

Stepping up in the display tech, Samsung will also be highlighting advancements to its fast-growing OLED line with the flagship S95D series, featuring what Samsung is calling the industry’s first OLED TV with Glare-Free Technology.

According to Samsung, the technology reduces reflections, while maintaining incredible contrast and color accuracy. Both the S95D and advanced S90D series also offer ultra-smooth visuals 144Hz refresh rate—perfect for any game room installs—12 plus advanced AI to make everything  look sharper, sound clearer and feel more lifelike.

New microLED TVs Leverage AI Upscaling for Big-Screen Clarity

In a market filled with clients who can’t get enough of ultra-large cinematic screens for their home theater systems, Samsung has already made quite a bit of noise with The Wall, and while no news is coming out this year about its flagship video wall product, the company has plenty to offer in terms of big screen goodness.

Built with the Samsung-exclusive Supersize Picture Enhancer, the new 98” QN90D OLED TV uses AI-based formulas to reduce visible noise and increase sharpness so the picture quality is perfectly optimized for the super large screen.

And that feature is getting extended across the entire Samsung 98” line-up, including the 98” Class Samsung Neo QLED 8K (QN990C) and 98” Class Samsung QLED 4K (Q80C).

Additionally, Samsung is adding three new TVs to its microLED lineup that include the new MS1B (89” and 101” class) and MS1C (114” class) screens, giving integrators even more ways to deliver a jaw-dropping home theater experience.
