This 1920s Los Angeles Oceanview Estate Offers Illuminating Nights Powered by REVI

The homeowners of this historical 1920s oceanview estate in Los Angeles, California recently underwent a sizeable renovation, with one of the main goals being to fit the property with low voltage lighting for both indoor and outdoor applications. Working with Environmental Lights, the clients installed downlighting fixtures, linear accent lighting, and a variety of wall sconces across the sizeable property leveraging the REVI remote voltage illumination system to help power everything.

Paramount to the project was being able to preserve much of the historical architecture while also bringing the home into the modern era with smart technology.

REVI Provides Low Voltage Lights Across Historical Estate

Lying at the heart of the estate’s lighting system is Environmental Light’s REVI Low Voltage Lighting, with REVI 12 Channel Power supplies providing low voltage power to all the home’s downlighting fixtures remotely.

In the living and dining room REVI LE1 3-inch fixtures illuminate the space while a variety of linear lighting help cast an inviting glow from underneath cabinets, countertops, and display shelves. Wall wash downlight fixtures highlight art pieces and other statement objects throughout the estate.

The REVI downlighting fixtures in this residence feature smooth dimming down to 0.1% and can be controlled with switches, mobile devices, or voice commands when paired with a home assistant. The ease with which lighting can be adjusted allows individual spaces to be instantly transformed to create an ambience that best fits the desired mood.

Environmental Lights: ‘REVI Helps Push the Boundaries of What Is Possible’

In areas where the homeowners sought to compliment the original architecture, more traditional appearances were maintained while still sticking to low voltage fixtures. Though this initially provided a challenge, Environmental Lights were able to use Studio DMX decoders to make the vision a reality.

Ultimately, this home was the combined result of the homeowners’ unique vision for their property and the efforts of Environmental Lights’s team of experts, with both parties being very satisfied with the results.

The team at Environmental Lights have even gone so far to say that REVI’s work at this historical 1920s oceanview estate in California really helped push the boundaries of what low voltage lighting can do in a space, and that they hope to work on more projects such as this one in the future.
