Custom integration industry-focused distributor WAVE Electronics has announced a partnership with Uber Direct, providing same-day delivery options that bring speed and efficiency to its Houston dealers.
Now, large integrators and small dealers can rely on WAVE to deliver the products they need directly to the job site, enabling seamless installations without interruptions, according to the distributor.
Considering the time-sensitive nature of AV and automation integration projects, the new relationship can assist in scenarios where equipment can often be misplaced, forgotten, or require immediate replacement.
With Uber Direct, the distributor states it is looking to transform how these urgent needs are met, offering a delivery option that allows items to be delivered directly from a WAVE branch to the job site on demand by choosing Uber Direct while on the WAVE Electronics website.
“We’re thrilled to continue to reshape the consumer electronics, security and home automation distribution experience by partnering with industry leading technology companies such as Uber,” says Chris Collier, director of Digital Operations for WAVE Electronics.
Lightapalooza took place in late February, and the growth of the event has mirrored the rapid ascension lighting fixtures and controls.
“This fully integrated solution will save our dealers countless truck rolls. Through offering same-day delivery with Uber Direct, we’re helping our clients keep projects moving smoothly. We know that time is money in this business, and with Uber Direct, our customers now have a reliable solution that lets them be more responsive and efficient for their clients.”
Jake Stein, head of Retail for Uber Direct, adds that enabling businesses to grow and operate more seamlessly and efficiently was at the heart of the partnership.
“At Uber Direct we’re able to leverage our delivery technology and expertise to help other businesses move goods with the speed and reliability of Uber, which lets them focus on delivering the best for their customer,” he says.
With a simple process integrated on the WAVE Electronics website, customers can select Uber Direct during checkout, allowing an Uber courier to pick up the item for delivery. This seamless solution lets installers stay on-site, saving valuable time and enabling WAVE dealers to maintain focus on quality installations.
As part of WAVE Electronics’ dedication to enhancing customer experience, the company says this new collaboration leverages partnerships with customer-centric solutions providers Adobe, Uber, and Improntus.
WAVE has been busy lately, courting and acquiring fellow distributor KOA in September. This month it launched a contest to send a dealer to this season’s Super Bowl.
