PowerShades has just expanded its product line beyond its selection of roller shades with the introduction of its new Zebra Shades. The Midwest-based company is asserting that its latest product provides integrators and their clients with a versatile window-covering solution. How it does this is by combining light-blocking and light filtering features into a single shading system, hence the “Zebra” of the name.
By aligning the solid bands in the Zebra Shades, users can block out light for privacy and darkness. Meanwhile, alignment of the sheer bands creates a filter effect, allowing natural light to shine filters through, brightening an interior space while reducing glare.
“PowerShades has always provided users with fabric options and colors to suit every taste and application, as well as unsurpassed technology innovations like our TruePoE automated shades and our Mobile App,” says Ryan Chacon, president, PowerShades. “With the introduction of our Zebra Shades, we are offering even more choices as we strive to be the single window-treatment resource for every interior designer and homeowner.”
Regardless of whether the products are installed into a residential or commercial environment, PowerShades stresses that its newest shade product can be paired with an array of its technology options, including spring pull, AC hardwired, DC hardwired, battery and TRUEPoE to meet whatever customer requirement dealers encounter.
The Zebra Shades are offered in a choice of fabric-matching round and square cassette styles, and in colors and finishes that include white, beige, gray, warm gray, bronze and black.
Lightapalooza took place in late February, and the growth of the event has mirrored the rapid ascension lighting fixtures and controls.
PowerShades adds that it will announce the availability date for its new Zebra Shades some time over the next few months. This latest announcement comes just weeks after PowerShades announced it will be adding in a new portfolio of smart lighting solutions to complement its shades.
